Student Parking Guidelines
Please note the schedule for student parking permits at:
Parking & Transportation | Department of Public Safety | Baylor University
Permit Requirements
A valid Baylor parking permit is required to park on campus Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Vehicles must be parked in areas/spaces that correspond with their permit. Refer to the Student parking map and/or posted signage to determine the parking permit required for each lot. Learn more about student permit options.
After 5:00PM Monday-Friday, Weekends and on University Holidays, students may park in non-reserved parking spaces for students, faculty/staff, or visitors.
Unless specifically stated (in a written format) Parking regulations are enforced during special events and times such as Diadeloso, Study Days, Finals, Rush, etc.
Authorization to park in special areas can only be granted by written permission from Parking and Transportation Services.
Vehicle / License Plate Information
Most permits are virtual with no physical permit/sticker and are tied to the vehicle's license plate. A vehicle's LICENSE PLATE MUST BE CORRECT. JUST 1 NUMBER OR LETTER BEING INCORRECT OR OUT OF PLACE WILL RESULT IN CITATIONS AND TOWING.
Permit owners are responsible for updating their vehicle information if they get a different vehicle, different license plate number or temporarily drive a different vehicle to campus.
License plates (rear or front) must be easily visible to the parking lot aisle/roadway. License plates displayed behind objects (bicycle racks, bumper guards) or on a vehicle dashboard are not acceptable.
Vehicle / Add, Remove, Temporary
Students register their vehicle(s) online in their online parking account. Login with your Bear ID and Password. Only one vehicle may be active at one time.
Click Vehicles
To add a different vehicle, remove the existing vehicle by clicking Remove from Permit.
Click Add a New Vehicle. Enter the new/different vehicle onto your account.
Temporary or paper ‘dealer’ plates should be used until permanent/metal plates arrive.
Temporary vehicles (including family vehicles or rental vehicles) should be added to your online parking account and then removed when no longer parking on campus.
If an existing vehicle receives a new license plate, Click Permanent Replacement and enter the new license plate.
Ownership
Student Parking Permits are intended for the sole use of a single student. Any attempt to share a parking permit privilege/access is NOT allowed. Students should NOT attempt to share a parking permit by adding another student's vehicle to their account.
Permits are NOT transferable from person to person.
