Lost and Found
Lost Property - If you’ve lost an item on the Baylor campus or in a Baylor owned building/property, please report it by clicking the link provided below and completing the form. Please be detailed in describing the item you have lost so we can tell your item from other similar items in our inventory. Details that are helpful include: brand name, color, size, shape, model number, quantity, material (leather, plastic, fabric, metal, etc.), size, special features, tags or labels, etc.
Once your lost property report has been received by the department, you may be contacted by BUPD. If it is determined that your property has been turned in to us or is turned in to us at a later time, we will contact you to make arrangements to claim your property.
Lost and Found Property Report
Found Property - Found property is to be brought to the Baylor University Police Department, 1521 S 4th Street, Speight Parking Garage between 8:00am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, except for Baylor University holidays.
TO REPORT A FOUND BICYCLE, E-BIKE/SCOOTER, LAPTOP, CELL PHONE, WALLET, OR PURSE, PLEASE CALL OUR DEPARTMENT AT (254) 710-2211 OR COME BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO FILE A REPORT.
**Debit/Credit Cards will be destroyed immediately
**If you locate prescription drug bottles, please bring them to the Baylor Police Department and place them in the Drug Collection Box that is located the lobby of the Police Department.
**Media storage devices will be destroyed.
Items not accepted: Clothing, including coats and jackets; cosmetic items; pens, pencils and umbrellas; water bottles, food, drinks and containers; items that present a sanitation risk (soiled) are discarded; books with no identifiable owner information; sunglasses; eyeglasses; and media storage devices. Also, empty Air Pod or other types of charging cases are not accepted. Refer to Parking Services for Lost Student IDs, 254/710-6943

Cash
Books, notebooks, and planners with identifiable owner information
Cell phones/Air Pods/Electronic Equipment
Baylor keys, apartment key fobs and car key fobs
Jewelry
Wallets and Purses
Driver’s License, State Identification Cards, and Passports
Backpacks
Computer equipment
Gift Cards
Once your lost property report has been received by the department, you may be contacted by BUPD. If it is determined that your property has been turned in to us or is turned in to us at a later time, we will contact you to make arrangements to claim your property.
Claiming Lost/Found Items:
- Claiming property is by appointment only with the Records Manager (or their designee). Call 254-710-2535 to schedule or send an email to LostandfoundBUPD@baylor.edu
- Monday-Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm, except for Baylor University Holidays
- Valid photo ID is required (e.g. Baylor ID, Driver’s License, Passport). Property will not be released without an ID.
Unclaimed items are maintained for 30 days before final disposition. Unclaimed items may be donated to charitable organizations or disposed of accordingly. Unclaimed data sensitive materials are destroyed.
