Worldwide Travel Advisory Lifted- Baylor Travel Remains Restricted
8/17/20
The U.S. Department of State (DOS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have lowered their worldwide travel advisories and have restored country-specific assessments and advisories.
The CDC Worldwide Level 3: Avoid Nonessential Travel (the highest rating) has been lifted and replaced with country-specific ratings as noted on this map of COVID-19 Recommendations by Country. At this time, most countries (207) remain at a CDC Level 3 for COVID-19.
In alignment with the CDC, the U.S. DOS Worldwide Level 4 Global Health Advisory: Do Not Travel has been lifted and also replaced with U.S. DOS Country-Specific Travel Advisories. Most countries are now rated either Level 3: Reconsider Travel or Level 4: Do Not Travel.
University-sponsored international travel continues to be restricted. Review Baylor's Expectations for Travel for further guidance. We continue to monitor the worldwide COVID-19 situation.
