Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
The Baylor University campus has three electric-vehicle charging locations:
- Level 2 Charger at 5th Street and James
- Level 2 Charger at 4th and Dutton (behind Penland Residence Hall)
- Level 3 DC Fast Charger at the Hurd Welcome Center
Faculty, staff, and students with electric vehicles will need to download the EV Connect mobile app to use the chargers. Use the links below on your mobile device to install the app:
How to Use the EV Connect App
Download the App on iOS or Android
- Download the EV Connect app on your smart phone and login or register to create an account.
- Choose the charging station based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided, and accessibility.
- Then to initiate your charge, scan the QR code on the station or by entering the station ID through the EV Connect app.
Start Your Charge Session
- Once the charger is activated, select the plug the connector to your vehicle and make a payment if applicable. Note: There are 3 ways to make a payment—you’ll have to pay either on the EV Connect app, using the stations credit card reader, or using an RFID card.
- During this time, feel free to run errands, do some shopping, grab a bite to eat or enjoy a short break from your day.
Get Charged Up & Go
- Choose to be notified by an in-app message or email when your charge session is complete.
- Or when you’re ready to get back on the road before your charge session is complete, return to the charger and stop your session on the screen.
- Unplug the connector and return the connector in its holster.
While a parking permit is not required to use the chargers, users will need to promptly move their vehicles once the charging process is complete.
